In 2001, I had the chance to change what I was doing with my life and enrolled into the Multimedia Production & Design Specialist program at Selkirk College. Initially I went to the course because I was interested in pursuing 3D modeling and animation as a career. While going through the course, we were exposed to a lot of other media design fields like working with digital images, video production, website design and other creative and interactive media projects. I found myself really drawn to website design, graphic design, photography and the photo manipulation aspects of media creation.

I have now been doing professional website design, graphic design, photography and media creation for the past 6 years. In that time the internet and the way websites are designed and created have gone through a wonderful evolution and right now is the best time to have a web presence for your business. People use the internet for everything now and with the advent of new technologies that are the mainstream like javascript, ajax and jquery. We can create websites that do more for you and your business.

My main focus is in the creation of interactive and engaging website interfaces that captivate users and give them a more rich experience when spending their time online. TERESA TAYLOR - Graphic Design & Print Media Specialist

Teresa has been an artist since birth and graphic designer since 2004, when a chain of fortunate events tossed her head first into the publishing world producing a magazine with international distribution. With a steep learning curve and controversial subject matter, she explored this new digital medium. Always hungry for knowledge and new experience, she has studied fine art independently through self study as well as through course work, including a fine art apprenticeship in Northern Thailand.

Teresa brings an astute understanding of what makes your clients tick. With a background degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia, the merger between art and social science first began with logos, print design and content writing for non-profit organizations and community outreach projects. Utilizing a blend of social psychology and artistry, Teresa creates clear and professional business images through form and colour that satisfy esthetic leanings and elicit customer response. Her extensive portfolio ranges from grassroots independents to corporate entities.

When she´s away from the ProCreative Design Lab, Teresa is employed by Community Futures Boundary as a marketing coach and facilitator of business planning and professional development workshops. DAVID LABUTE BSc - Computer/Web Programming Specialist

“My computer is dead? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

My fascination with mono coloured screens and 5-1/4 inch floppies first began upon the arrival of my first family computer. That fasination resulted in my attendace at Mount Royal College and graduation at the University of Calgary with a BSc in Computer Science.

In my course navigations I was exposed to many aspects of this wonderful machine, from simple mathematics and security to encryption and computational theory. In learning programming languages (C/C++, Java, machine code) I enjoyed learning their theories and complexities.

In December 2009 I completed all my courses and was left in the world of an economic recession. However, to my delight, my cousin, Wally Soukoroff, asked me to join his dynamic team. Upon my agreement, I began to experiment with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and CSS. My enjoyment of computer programming only grew in this time and I produced several websites with highly satisfied clients.

So, what does this all mean for you? With extra attention to detail, i will be sure to work with you to make the functionality of your site exactly the way you want it!

NIK GREEN - Video Editing & Production Specialist

“?!”

I have been producing, shooting, directing and editing films over the past 7 years covering a wide range of genres from promotional to documentary to fictional features. Applying the techniques I learned at the Vancouver Film School to promotional films and corporate videos has enabled me to apply my own style and technique with the customers' to produce effective visual media.

With my own film crew consisting of Cinematographers, Sound Design, Editors and Color Correction specialists I am able to accomodate any size film, be it a full fledged documentary or brief commercial spot. The "One Man Show" option also allows for me to be accomodating with smaller projects as I am trained in all of the above areas.

All of my works are delievered via DVD or made web friendly for customers to use on their corporate sites. In short, there literally is no job too big or too small. From feature films to viral hits I will work with you to find, create and promote your film.

DEREK HIll - Web Programming Specialist

Programming always fascinated me even when I was young and didn´t have a computer. I was interested in how to make things work. Why TVs turn on. How technology works the way it does. Since I was intrigued I decided to enroll into St.Clair College in 2005 at Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

During this time, I was exposed to various types of programming. Ranging from HTML, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Java, Flash, C#, C++, etc... I excelled in planning the algorithm out (steps of what needs to be done to make it work), and finding shortcuts while retaining the functionality. I excelled in optimization and organization. Once I finished 2 years of St.Clair I decided to freelance and to try my skills out on my own. During This time, my skills reached a new level. I attended Everest College in December 2007 and put my skills to the test in their accelerated course. I was extremely pleased upon learning that I had graduated in my programming areas with 95%+.

These traits are also applicable to Oracle and MySQL databases. I structure, create, maintain and manage anything and everything with databases. With the combination of PHP and MySQL, nothing else is really impossible.

So what does this mean for you? It's simple really. I provide, efficiency, without sacrificing functionality. I organize code and comments so future webmasters understand my code better. I promise that you will be 100% satisfied with my work and that the website applications I build will work 100% of the time for your business.
